DEIDRE NEAL is an American Ballerina, teacher, author, coach,
choreographer and the founder of Ballet Somatics.
At an early age her exceptional talent secured her a full scholarship at The School of American Ballet, where she received invaluable coaching from luminaries such as Balanchine and Alexandra Danilova.
Her esteemed mentors include Stanley Williams, Suzanne Farrell, Suki Schorer,
Mikhail Baryshnikov, Marika Besobrasova, Boris Akimov and Olga Evreinoff.

Deidre's professional career began with the San Francisco Ballet
before she joined the esteemed American Ballet Theatre (ABT).
A captivating opportunity brought her to Vienna State Opera Ballet,
where she immersed herself in soloist roles in George Balanchine's Serenade,
Four Temperaments, and Apollo, along with transcendent performances
in Don Quixote and The Nutcracker.
After retiring from performing, Deidre’s teaching has been enriching
prestigious institutions nationwide. She was the Director of Ballet at Roco Dance,
mentored at the Stapleton Academy and at UNCSA Faculty.
Deidre is also certified in Yoga, Pilates, Massage Therapy, and Holistic Health.
Her teaching method embodies the brilliance of her mentors,
emphasizing placement, precision, speed, and musicality.
Her class serves as a sanctuary for dancers of all disciplines,
fostering their unique styles and techniques, protecting them from injuries,
empowering them to express themselves artistically and sculpting their bodies
into vessels of creative expression.
